Wattled cranes are normally spotted only as pairs, and are relatively uncommon - a reflection of their Vulnerable IUCN status. Consequently, I was amazed to see this flock congregating in the shallow Okavango waters in the last light of the day, and managed to capture a couple of images as we flew high above them.
